At the end of October I kept seeing advertisements on Facebook to take on the 2,000 push-up challenge as a way of supporting the mental health struggles of our troops and veterans. If…
The concept of the "weakest link" in Christianity is explored, with the resurrection of Jesus highlighted as this pivotal point. If Christ had not been raised, our faith would be meaningless. The empty tomb stands as evidence of Jesus' resurrection, offering new life and freedom from sin. This Easter, reflect on the significance of this truth and rejoice in the Risen King.
The Wind & The Waves
The narrative from the Gospel of Mark illustrates Jesus calming a storm while his disciples are gripped by fear. The author reflects on personal fears and doubts, seeing parallels in his own life. He emphasizes the reassuring message of Jesus' presence in our trials and urges the readers to trust and find comfort in Jesus' love and support.
The Light Has Come
As the days begin to lengthen after the shortest day of the year, many seek solace in the promise of light. Two thousand years ago, the Israelites yearned for deliverance from darkness. Lessons from the Other Side of the World
The author describes a transformative journey to South Asia, where they encountered a vibrant culture and shared the eternal hope of Jesus with local residents. Love Comes In A Backpack
The Back-To-School season brings excitement for some, but dread for others who lack essential supplies. Dylan Schumacher, once in need himself, now spearheads a backpack drive with local businesses and churches. The goal is to provide fully stocked backpacks to 1000 students, aiming to fulfill a gospel-based mission of compassion and community outreach. Donations and involvement are encouraged.
What is Redemption?
The concept of redemption can be likened to returning cans for five cents, but true redemption holds significantly more value. It involves Christ's act of freeing sinners from bondage and reconciling them with God. This redemption, a gift from Jesus, cannot be earned but requires trust in His sacrifice. As a church, we aim to live as redeemed individuals and help others find redemption too.
A Story of Redemption
The author parallels the process of renovating dilapidated homes with the larger narrative of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and New Life in the Gospel Story. They emphasize humanity's separation from God due to sin, and the role of Jesus in redeeming and renewing all things. Surrendering to God's plan brings a renewed life.
Getting Out Of A God-in-a-box Attitude
At Mosaic Church, we are teaching through the book of Joshua. In a significant encounter, Joshua meets a warrior who claims to be the commander of the Lord's army and declares neutrality. This challenges Joshua to align with God's will rather than seeking his own desires. It serves as a reminder for all to submit to God's will.
