OVERVIEW

I am a follower of Christ, a husband and a father before all else.  My desire is to love my family well and seek opportunities to be used by God to glorify His perfect and holy name.  I am seeking to do this by fulfilling God’s mission in my life through preaching and shepherding a local congregation of believers towards a deeper relationship with Him.

2007 – present

-The first call for any pastor is to lead his own home well (1 Tim 3.4-5).  I have not been perfect in this area, but strive to excel more and more.  I believe that the way I live my life and my the health of my marriage should be a testimony for Christ every day.

-We are currently pulling together an interest group to plant a new church in Marshalltown in 2020 or 2021.

TEACHING PASTOR | CROSSROADS CHURCH

-I have shared fifty percent of the preaching responsibility as well as crafted the outlines for each series that our teaching team has taught through.  Some of these series have been exegetical and some topical.
-I have given oversight and direction to our Community Group structure through implementing a sermon-based group model that has allowed for depth in community and in going deeper in the Word.
-I have shared the responsibilities of other pastoral duties, such as counseling, training, performing weddings, hospital visits, etc.
-I helped to pursue and implement a relationship with our local elementary school that ended up benefiting the entire Western Dubuque school district by sponsoring a keynote speaker to help the school on their journey to becoming trauma-informed.

-As a REALTOR my primary duties are to help people buy and sell homes.  I engage in this with a focus on integrity and serving clients well.  I have taken an approach of focusing on helping other newer agents get started in the business and achieve success.  At my peak, I was the number 7 REALTOR out of 150 agents.

-My wife and I started our Kona Ice franchise as a way to incorporate our family into our business ventures.  We were able to use the business to give back to the local community as well.  We sold the business in order to be more available for what God has in store for our future.
