• My wife and I started our Kona Ice franchise as a way to incorporate our family into our business ventures.  We were able to use the business to give back to the local community as well.  We sold the business in order to be more available for what God has in store for our future.

CHURCH PLANTER & LEAD PASTOR | MOSAIC CHURCH
MARSHALLTOWN, IA — 2019 – 2024

• Provide for the overall direction and execution of the vision for mosaic church and the desire to reach our local community and see people grow in the image of Jesus.
• Engaged with the local community to build bridges between members of our church and local needs and resources in the community.
• Led our staff team of eight ranging from full-time to key volunteers.
• Oversaw the budget creation as well as the financial operations of the church.

TEACHING PASTOR | CROSSROADS CHURCH
PEOSTA, IA — 2017 – 2019

• I have shared fifty percent of the preaching responsibility as well as crafted the outlines for each series that our teaching team has taught through.  Some of these series have been exegetical and some topical.
• I have given oversight and direction to our Community Group structure through implementing a sermon-based group model that has allowed for depth in community and in going deeper in the Word.
• I have shared the responsibilities of other pastoral duties, such as counseling, training, performing weddings, hospital visits, etc.
• I helped to pursue and implement a relationship with our local elementary school that ended up benefiting the entire Western Dubuque school district by sponsoring a keynote speaker to help the school on their journey to becoming trauma-informed.
